How to Order           

Placing an order with petsathome.com is easy. Here are the steps you need to follow to place an order:

  1. Find the items you want
  2. Add the items to your basket
  3. Proceed to checkout
  4. Sign in & choose a password
  5. Enter a delivery address
  6. Choose a delivery method
  7. Provide payment information
  8. Review & submit your order
  9. Check your order status

Find the items you want

First you will need to browse or search for the items you would like to order. Use the ‘tabbed’ navigation bar located towards the top of the page to navigate the products in a particular product categories or carry out a key word search using the search box located below the Pets at Home logo in the top left hand corner of the screen.

You can also find the product you want more quickly by searching by the options displayed along the left hand side of the page.  When you find an item that interests you, click the title or image of the item to see its product detail page. Here you will find more information about the item.

Add the items to your basket

If you want to order an item from petsathome.com, click the 'Add to Basket' button on the product list or product detail page. Once you've added an item to your basket, keep searching or browsing until your basket contains all of the items you want to order. You can access the contents of your Basket at any time by clicking the 'My Basket' icon at the top of every page of our website.

Proceed to checkout

Take a moment to review all of the items you've placed in your Basket. When you're ready to place an order for everything in your Basket, click the 'Proceed to checkout' button. You will be taken to the first page of the order process.

Sign in & choose a password

Enter your email address, choose a password for your account, and click the 'Sign in' button. (Keep in mind that the email address you provide here will be the only email address to which we can send information about subsequent orders.)

You need a password for your account so that when you come back to petsathome.com in the future, you can use the same delivery address and method of payment that you provided during this first order. You will also be able to use your password to make changes to your order and account information.

Provide an address where you would like to have your order delivered.

Choose a delivery method

All orders default to standard delivery, which takes up to 4 working days. If you want to choose when your order arrives, you have the option with selected items of receiving your items next day.  Where this option is available, it will be shown to you on the product detail page and you can select it on the delivery page of the check out.  There is an additional charge for this service, although you will only be charged for delivery once.  Read more about delivery options and delivery charges.

Please be aware that if you have ordered items that are delivered direct from our supplier the timescales for delivery may be longer. The estimated delivery duration for these items will be shown on the product detail page along with any supplemental delivery charge, where applicable.

The delivery charge for your order will be displayed on your delivery and order confirmation page.

Provide payment information

Let us know how you would like to pay for your order. You can pay for your online order using Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Maestro or Solo cards. Please note we can only accept cash and cheque payments for purchases made in store.  All online orders must be prepaid and payment will be taken at time of ordering.

Enter your credit or debit card number without spaces or dashes.  If you have a promotion code to apply to the order, e.g. for free delivery if your order qualifies, please enter it in the box provided.

Review & place order

Check the accuracy of all of the information you have provided and make any necessary adjustments. When you are ready, click the ‘Purchase’ button to submit your order. Once you place your order, we will send you a confirmation email message. We will send you another email message at the time of despatch of your goods.

Check your order status

If you would like to review or change something about your order before it enters the despatch process, click the ‘Your Account' link to check the status of your order and contact us to request the change/cancellation.
